Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on all pages of our surveys.
Your information is used solely for research purposes. We will never try to sell you anything; we are only interested in your opinions. When you complete a survey, any information you provide to us is combined with responses given by others, analyzed and reported not individually, but only in the aggregate.
When you take one of our surveys, you may be shown confidential information. In order to protect the integrity and confidentiality of our clients' research, you must agree not to reveal any information contained in surveys, and do not copy or distribute any video, graphics or other content from the surveys.
We will not disclose any personally identifiable information (e.g. name, address and other data that identifies you) to business partners or third parties unless you agree, in advance, that we may do so, or when required to do so by law, or if there is a risk of injury to you, OTX Research or third parties (other individuals, organizations or businesses), or to protect our rights or property.
OTX Research supports the rights of survey takers by limiting the use of their information for legitimate marketing research purposes and is conforming to the following organizations created to uphold ethical survey research:
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer, and are commonly used by most Web sites to provide you with an enhanced experience. OTX Research may set and access OTX cookies on your computer to let you access our surveys. OTX Research may read third party cookies or other objects that may have been set outside of our domain by trusted vendors. Reading these third-party cookies helps our research by allowing us to determine whether you have visited the website or have been exposed to the advertising of one of our clients. You can have your web browser disable "cookies" but if you turn off "cookies," it is not possible to access our surveys. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but they enable us to understand the surveys you may have taken. Cookies are used for security purposes so that we can recognize your computer and prevent malicious users from taking surveys multiple times and affect the statistical validity of our results. No personally identifiable information is transmitted via these cookies. We sometimes use other technologies to store similar information.
Like most Web sites, we log the use of our service. This includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks in order to administer the site, track aggregate movement, analyze trends, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. This information is not linked to personally identifiable information.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
OTX Research conforms to the FTCs Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We never target or knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children under 13. If we want the opinions of children under age 13, we will explicitly ask our partners to invite adult registered respondents and ask them to supervise the questions to be asked of the child in their household.
Should you have other questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please send us an email at info@otxresearch.com. OTX Research reserves the right to change these policies in the future.
